Save the Portland Beavers
This petition will prove to Merritt Paulson and the City of Portland that we do NOT want the Beavers to move? The Beavers have been a part of the City of Portland and the Pacific Coast League (PCL) since their inception in 1903. Portland is one of two PCL charter cities to still retain a team. Please forward this to all your friends and family. Let's keep the Beavers in Portland, and keep their history alive.
We the undersigned feel that Portland, OR has a wonderful and rich history with the Pacific Coast League and the sport of baseball. Moving this team out of the Portland Metro Area would be a terrible mistake. You already have a loyal following of fans here and we eagerly await each new season. Portland has one of the largest untapped fan bases, which is larger than some cities with MLB teams.
If PGE Park is to become a MLS only stadium, then it is worth your wild to find another spot for the Beavers to play within this great city of ours. Sites such as the Collesium, the Water Bureau Land, Blanchard Education Service Center or Central Eastside Industrial District are great locations, and I'm sure there are a few more viable spots.
