Demand lawmakers stop landlords from increasing rent to unrealistic rates

Due to the housing shortage in Florida and most of the country, many properties have been bought up by foreign equities or individuals with cash intending to rent the housing for astronomical fees that most working Americans cannot and should not afford. There needs to be a law to put a cap on how much a landlord can raise rents.
