My issue is that tampons are considered a luxury but condoms are not, so thats why tampons are not handed out freely. It is not fair that condoms are not consider a luxury and are handed out freely, when condoms are used for sex and you can control your sexual urges, but you can not control your period. Having your period is a part of growing up as a young lady, tampons are a need for women, we have no control over this. Tampons should not be considered a luxury so they can be handed freely to homeless women. Homeless women have to use all their money to buy tampons instead of getting something to eat and, when you are a women tampons are not cheap. $1,773.33 per year for tampons; not including midol or panty liners, etc. Women products are not cheap and i think it is not fair that tampons are considered a luxury when women need them and condoms are just used for sex and are not considered a luxury. If tampons were not considered a luxury then they would be handed out freely to homeless women.
