Different Genders Should Have A Choice! We Have The Right to Different Colored Gowns!

Tradition has been that girls wear white gowns and boys wear maroon gowns since the beginning of Seaholm's graduations (green and white for Groves). It is understandable that some people who are transgender or confused with their gender don't find this fair, HOWEVER, that doesn't mean all other students, primarily girls, should have to give up their right and tradition to wear a certain color gown. If you identify as a boy, wear a maroon gown; If you identify as a girl, wear a white gown. Traditions should not have to change in order to make few feel more comfortable when they can very easily choose whichever color they choose to identify with, with no judgment. WE GIRLS WANT OUR WHITE GOWNS. Wear what you please, but DO NOT take away everyone else's right to differences and freedom.

My goal with this petition is to give everyone a CHOICE. No one should be assigned a certain colored gown; Everyone shall have the right to choose which color they identify with best. No judgment.
