Give students the ability to utilize the gym at lunch

We have learned in our civics project that there is a positive direct correlation between being more active outside of the classroom and students performance in the classroom. We feel that the amount of homework given at DSST decreases the amount of available time allotted to being active outside of school. We are petitioning to start a trend of giving DSST students more access to exercise and playing games which will benefit them in numerous ways. To start this process, we want support for having time allotted strictly to using the gym or other areas for physical education purpose. Lunch time is the designated time to open the gym up to students and we are rallying support for having easier means of being active during school.
