Giving Children Back Their Lives

Too many children are suffering from a variety of depressive disorders due to not receiving the proper help after being sexually abused. The government provides child molesters with money for housing, food and education when they are released from prison. However these offenders are repeat offenders and that money spent is in essence a complete waste. I'm asking for the consideration to make it mandatory that parents receive help for their children who have been sexually abused and that it be funded by the government if that is necessary. We currently have laws that punish the offenders but we have no laws in place that mandate the proper help for these innocent children. the effects of being sexually abused do not end with the abuse, they last a lifetime. I believe that it is our responsibility to provide these innocent children with a chance at becoming as emotionally and mentally stable as possible into their adulthood and to invest in the damage it that it causes in their lives.
