Shut Down Petland For Good

Petland is a small shop in the Mall of Georgia in Buford, Georgia. It is widely known and popular for it’s cute dogs and puppies that shoppers can come by and pet. But the truth is, these animals are locked up in small crates for over 24 hours without proper exercise and attention a dog needs and deserves. It is cute to see dogs and pet them, but what is not cute by any means is seeing a sick or depressed dog sitting (or sometimes laying down if they have the space to do so) in their cramped crate just for people’s entertainment. This is a type of animal abuse and anyone who thinks otherwise definitely needs a reality check. It is not healthy for dogs to be locked up in crates all day and pet and touched by random people walking by that could be carrying diseases. Petland workers tell you to sanitize your hands before touching the dogs, but it takes a lot more than just some hand sanitizer to get rid of a sickness or disease that someone could possibly have and pass onto the animal. Help me and everyone else who disagrees with Petland’s ways to put a stop to this. It is inhumane. Animals are people too and do not deserve to be treated any less than us.
