The latest appalling incidents that recently happened in Denmark have driven me to start this petition. These in which I am refering to are the unnecessary slaughter of the young giraffe at Copenhagen Zoo and the sadistic dissection of a wolf in front of children at the Natural History Museum, not to mention the yearly killings of hundreds of dolphins and whales in the Faroe Islands for the sake of a ridiculous tradition! Is it my imagination or is this country becoming more and more cruel and viscious with regards to the treatment of animals. Apparently this kind of behavior is tolerated by the native citizens just by the mere fact that there is no outcry or protest from them. These shameful acts should be an embarassment to the nation as a whole in light of how they are viewed now by the outside world. I seriously urge everyone to sign the petition before this type of mentality is allowed to spread elsewhere. For the real danger is in, that the country is teaching it's youth that this is normal and acceptable.
