Require M.A.C. Cosmetics to stop testing on animals

M.A.C. Makeup is testing on animals due to a requirement from China stating that all human cosmetics sold in China must first be tested on animals. Animal testing is a cruel, unnecessary and outdated practice.

To: MAC Cosmetics Board of Directors

I am greatly distressed to learn that MAC Cosmetics has started to test its products on animals in order to sell their cosmetics in China. This practice is cruel and utterly inhumane. Moreover, it is unnecessary in an age where alternatives to such testing exist, such as cell cultures and computer simulations. As other companies have found ways to take animal testing out of their product manufacturing process, it is unconscionable that MAC Cosmetics has agreed to this strictly to gain the profits of the Chinese market. I strongly urge MAC Cosmetics to stop selling their products in China and go back to being cruelty free. Until that happens I will no longer be purchasing your products and I will urge everyone I know to do the same.

Sincerely,

Megan Ray
