My names kathryn j Loveland im 31 from Ohio,
It has come to my attention that we have a
big problem with young adults overdoseing,
overdoseing is right now the number one cause
of injury-related killer, it gives young adults
... a strong feeling of well being , relaxes them,
makes them think it takes there problems away,
there is a big problem that cant be ignored,
I see that this law was passed in washinton and
new mexico and was wondering if you would consider
these are the facts of the law and i do believe
this law would help lower the deaths

A %u201C911 Good Samaritan Law%u201D provides
immunity from criminal
prosecution for possession of
illegal drugs for a person who seeks
emergency medical assistance for himself or herself,
or for someone else who is experiencing a drug overdose.
The immunity is limited to prosecutions that are based on
evidence obtained because of the call for medical assistance

1. in good faith, seeks medical assistance for
someone experiencing a drug-related overdose if the
evidence for the charge of possession
was gained as a result of the seeking of medical
assistance or

2. experiences a drug-related overdose and is in
need of medical assistance if the evidence for the
charge of possession was gained as a result of the
overdose and the need for medical assistance.
A law that provides some legal immunity for people who report a drug overdose
The measure is aimed at reducing drug overdoses by removing the fear of arrest as an impediment to seeking medical help.drug overdoses are a hidden problem because they aren't as visible as other problems.
