Operation Chanology

- mottagare: To have Scientology's tax exempt status removed by the IRS.
"I'd like to start a religion, that's where the money is." - L. Ron Hubbard, founder of Scientology, 1949.
The "Church" of Scientology is run like a business; selling books and self help courses, as well as paying commissions to members who "upsell" their colleagues, but has obtained the legal standing to be considered a church by the Internal Revenue Service. This standing was obtained through coercion and blackmail - see sources below. Individual Scientologists are allowed to take more religious deductions from their income tax than members of any other religion - in direct violation of the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment to the US Constitution.
Please help put an end to this rampant abuse and disregard for our tax system. We need to raise awareness and convince the IRS to review their tax exempt status and audit their financial books and records.

We the undersigned hereby request that the Internal Revenue Service open an investigation into possible abuse of 501(c)3 status by the Church of Spiritual Technology, and all associated Scientology groups, affiliates and subsidiaries. We believe that the letter and spirit of the law are being blatantly disregarded and that an audit may lead to the discovery of sufficient evidence to revoke the tax exempt status of said organizations in compliance with the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment and the recent findings in the case of Sklar v. Commissioner of Internal Revenue.
