SAVE HISTORIC LLOYD FARM

Wild Meadows, LLC has purchased Lloyd Farm, upon which stands an historic farmhouse, barn, and other 18th and 19th century outer structures. Justin Olear/Wild Meadows, LLC's application for demolition of those structures has been approved by Caln Township (Demo Permit #B7098). The farm itself sits one of the last remaining parcels from William Penn's 17th century land grant; the mid-18th century farmhouse has been confirmed to have been an important part of the Underground Railroad, it's 1910 addition was designed by noted Philadelphia architect Gilbert McIlvaine, whose Chester County Ostheimer Estate is already listed on the National Historic Register. Circa 1982 a Pennsylvania Historic Resource Survey completed by the Chester County Historical Society deemed the Lloyd Farm properties Eligible for Preservation under the National Historic Register. The undersigned residents of Caln Township and surrounding Chester County towns hereby petition the Caln Township Board of Commissioners and the Caln Township Manager to immediately revoke the demolition permit granted to Justin Olear/Wild Meadows, LLC.
