Cyclists in Montreal should be forced to have licence plates on their bikes

I was struck by a cyclist in Montreal recently and sustained seriouis injury to my leg. The cyclist sped off and I did not get her name, etc. There are too many problems with cyclists causing accidents in this city and they should be forced to have a licence plate on the back of their bikes so they could be identified. This would probably cut down on accidents by these cyclists. Many other cities in North America require the cyclists to have a licence plate on the back of their bikes. So Montreal is far behind regarding this .
