We, the people of Britain demand that the practice of covering the face in public be made illegal

Another European country is on the verge of taking action to make the covering of the face in a public place illegal. Covering of the face in public is objectionable to western society and is associated with those committing criminal acts. The covering of the face on religious grounds is not supported by the Q's a an, which only requires men to ensure that their women dress modestly and cover their bodies, nothing is mentioned of the face. Covering of the face on alleged religious grounds is associated with extremism and the subjugation of women's rights, relegating them to the status of objects to be controlled. The British government, nor the people of Britain should tolerate this.
We, the undersigned, call upon parliament to take action to make it illegal to cover the face in public, be that by crash helmets (unless actually riding a motorcycle), a mask to prevent identification when engaged in criminal activities, for the purpose of intimidation, or on the grounds of alleged religious beliefs.
