Now as some of you may know back in 2009 on a beautiful February morning we lost an amazing person due to an awful car wreck. Alexis T. Gumusdere lost his life that day. Lex was an amazing artist, loving son, role model for his brother, and going to be a pro baseball player. Lex touched so many lives in the time that he had but his life was lost too soon, before he got the chance to really flourish. Now being that he was part of the nyc graffiti family it was only fitting for after his passing to put something up in his honor. I'm not sure who the original artist that put Alexis onto the bridge was, but recently this week they have painted over the memorial of our fallen friend with calling it an "eyesore" I am hoping that in getting enough signatures on this petition we can reclaim the unused Harriman railroad overpass and put Lex's name back up where it belongs! I'd like to make it a mural this time with emphasis on graffiti In honor of this beautiful soul!
