Offer Better Opportunities for Graduate Job-Seekers!

Too many graduates today are being denied the rights to attend a job interview after applying with their CV, and are either met with the generic 'You have been unsuccessful at this time' or 'We had more applicants with greater experience than you', or are not given any response at all. This has happened to me all too many times, and it needs to stop.

Many people apply for jobs and have all the relevant experience and 'people skills', but are still turned away before they even have the opportunity to present their case or meet the interviewer. It is impossible to base somebody's suitability to a role without meeting them first. Experience isn't everything these days! Besides, how are you expected to get said experience without being given the opportunity to obtain it?

In this day and age, we have so many options for interviewing potential candidates. What about a Skype interview? It's free, quick and easy, and the candidate gets to at least argue why they should be offered the position. Or how about a test? A small test can be sent to the candidate for them to complete. This would at least show their ability to produce work for the company in question. We need more alterantive methods of interviews because there are too many people, especially graduates, being knocked back for reasons that all tie up into the 'experience' umbrella.
