Change the unfriendly Skies of the Sonoma County Airport

The Charles Schultz airport was never intended to allow jets because of the increased noise factor according to the 2020 general plan of Sonoma County. Last year the runway was expanded to accept jets and was executed by the Airport land Use Committee. According to the General plan 2020 Air transportation element Projected Noise Exposure, "some jet aircraft generate a high single event noise. but jet operations are infrequent so they do not significantly contribute to the annualized noise impact measured on the CNEL index". The noise generated by 2 jet operations no longer is infrequent. This petition is demanding the cessation of commercial jet aircraft from using the Charles Schultz airport due to increased noise level incurred to residents on flight paths and general noise generated from jet operations.
