The U.S. Is Bringing Back Firing Squad Executions. It's Time to Abolish the Death Penalty.

The U.S. government is moving to expand how it executes people, including authorizing execution by firing squad as an official method. At the same time, it is reinstating lethal injection protocols that have raised serious concerns about prolonged pain and suffering.

Instead of questioning whether the government should be taking lives at all, the system is focused on how to do it more efficiently.

Sign the petition to demand the abolition of the death penalty in the United States.

Right now, James Broadnax, is scheduled to be executed on April 302026 in Texas. Someone else has even confessed to the crime, but he is still waiting for his execution. This is exactly why the death penalty does not work.

Even federal reviews have acknowledged there is still uncertainty about whether these methods cause unnecessary harm.

The death penalty is irreversible. It carries the risk of wrongful execution. And it requires the state to decide who lives and who dies. This doesn't have to happen.

Many countries have already abolished capital punishment, recognizing it as incompatible with modern justice systems.

Sign the petition now to urge Congress to abolish the death penalty and end this practice once and for all.
