Return civility to public discourse now!

What's So Great About America? (A great book by the way) Our Founding Fathers fought to create and protect our individual freedoms, personal responsibility, a strong nation defense and so much more for the greater good. And they recognized the importance of free speech.
However, when we engage in public discourse and, in the process, launch personal attacks against one another for views which may differ from ours, we become less "civil," and the focus on our arguments become secondary to the "venom and hatred that we spew toward one another."
Let's focus in all our public discussions on those issues on which we agree, identify those on which we differ, and work together toward common ground.
Let's face it, as we tell our children "you can't always get your way."
Grow up and stop acting like children!
