Truckers right to park

The life of a OTR trucker is a life that is full of concerns. For years truck drivers have faced adversity and have been given more and more regulation on how to safely do there job. With the growing number of trucks on the road one problem has stood out and it's a problem that affects everyone who travels along a US highway PARKING.... Drivers are allowed to work 14 hours a day but can only drive for 11 hours before they have to park they still have appointments to meet this forces the driver to drive his/her full 11 hours at all times of the night to insure he/she will make there appointment on time. How ever with limited parking drivers are forced to find unsafe safe havens. Parking lots at major retailers do not allow trucks to park in there parking lot drivers who do wake up to find they have been ticketed or booted so to avoid this drivers are forced to park along side the highway for 10 hours until there hours reset. This is a serious safety hazard. States have put in weigh stations with parking for trucks but have denied truckers overnight parking. I have just one question why? Why would you put a parking lot there and only use it to inspect drivers and not allow them to use it for a safe haven this is a problem and a simple solution to fix not all but at least some for every truck that is not on the highway another accident can be avoided.
