Justice for the Child Who Died After Being Released From ICE Detention

Asylum seekers crossing the southern border looking for safe harbor and a better life have already had to suffer the indignity of the foul treatment of the Trump administration: ripped away from their children, incarcerated by ICE and vilified Trump and the conservative media.

But for one family the suffering didn't end there. Earlier this week word got out that a child, held in an ICE facility in Dilley, Tex, had died shortly after being released. Not much is known about the young girl accept that she had suffered from respiratory illness and activists say that her death is likely a "result of possible negligent care and a respiratory illness she contracted from one of the other children."

Now the government is denying they had anything to do with her death. They even say they have no way to investigate because they don't know the child's name. That is unacceptable. If immigrant rights activists know who this poor child is, then surely the U.S. government can do its research and find out as well.

Demand justice for the young girl who lost her life just after being released from ICE.

Tell ICE to investigate her death and make those found negligent face the consequences. Sign the petition.
