Demand That Whoever Ordered John McCain's Name Be Covered Up Resign Immediately

On May 28, when Trump was at a U.S. naval base in Yokosuka, Japan, a short distance south of Tokyo, the White House Military Office had requested that Navy personnel keep the USS John McCain out of sight. This was not possible, as the ship was under repairs, so instead they ordered that McCain's name be covered up.

What kind of dysfunctional world are we living in? The Navy obscured the name of a POW and war hero the day after Memorial Day to protect the fragile ego of a man who got five draft deferments to avoid military service.

So a tarp was hung over the ship's name ahead of the trip, and sailors—who wear caps bearing the ship's name—were given the day off for Trump's visit.

This is shameful and disgraceful behavior.

Whoever ordered that the name of John McCain, a war hero, be covered up, must resign immediately.
