Demand that Cable News Networks Display "Days of Inaction" Until Congress Acts on Gun Violence

Year after year, we see terrible acts of gun violence in the U.S. After every mass shooting, there is a huge uproar about how congress should do something but isn't. A few days go by and the issue is largely forgotten by the public and media, AND the people who have to power to enact sensible gun legislation, yet choose not to do anything about it. They count on the fact that the outrage surrounding mass killings are temporary.

We need to hold these politicians accountable. By having a constant display of the number of days that congress has failed to enact sensible gun legislation on all major cable news networks, we can constantly remind the politicians and ourselves that we can continue to expect mass shootings in which innocent children will again be killed and when the last time it happened and there was an uproar for legislators to act, they did nothing! Perhaps this constant reminder will cause the legislators to act, or the public to continue to call in and pressure their representatives to act, or help people decide to vote differently to put people in congress who will act.
