Since 1983 the Omni Theatre part of the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History, has dazzled and educated the masses.
With their huge Imax screen unlike any in the DFW area, it is something to behold.
If you have ever gone, you understand, if you haven't, it is the 8th wonder of the world.
They are known for showing 45 minute documentaries, which I love, but in recent years have started showing full length films...like Polar Express every Christmas season and currently showing Interstellar.
They say it is hard to compete with the new digital era of film.
But they are far above your typical movie theatre. The Omni Theatre is what movie theatres want to be when they grow up.
It is like comparing the space program with the airline industry.
The Omni Theatre is an experience not just a film.
It is the only one of it's kind in our area...we must keep it open.
