Women and children are being exploited for sex in many places, but it is extremely prominent in Southeast Asia. It is horrible to know that those keeping sex trade alive there, are not Asians themselves, but generally Westerners. There is such a thing called "sex tourism", which is travelling to another country for the purpose of paying to have sex, especially with children. Southeast Asian countries such as Thailand and Cambodia are victims of this practice. Many Westerners travel to this area in order to get cheap sex. The problem is that these practices exploit women and children, and violate human rights. Often times, children and women are sold off into this market by their parents because it is a means to make money. Since the economy in this area is very unprosperous, there are little to no jobs available so some have to participate in this market in order to make ends meet. Some of the consequences of children and women sex trade are that the victims often times get HIV, AIDS, or other extremely serious diseases due to unprotected sex with so many strangers. These victims suffer gravely from the practice of sex trade. WE NEED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS ENORMOUSLY DANGEROUS PROBLEM!!!!! Sign this petition!! It will be sent to Amnesty International Canada so that they are aware of this issue and so they can do something about it!! THIS HAS TO STOP!!! The more people sign, the more Amnesty will take this matter seriously! Let us help children and women from Southeast Asia! They are in desperate need of it!!!
