Ask Pope Francis to promote veganism and to ban the cruel use of animals in fiestas. .

Having taken a papal name after St. Francis of Assisi, the present Pope is in a unique position of power and influence over the many Catholics of the world, not only in showing concern for the human 'poor', which he admirably does, but also for the billions of animals abused by humankind annually in farms, slaughterhouses, laboratories, etc. He may do this by setting an example of veganism in his own life-style while encouraging others to adopt the same.

More-over, as a matter of urgency, he should ban the barbarically cruel spectacles of "Bulls of Fire" and live animals being thrown from belfry tops at religious festivals.
