Demand Women Equality, Now!

The Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (1979) (CEDAW) is the most comprehensive and detailed international agreement that seeks the equality of women. It is ratified by 185 countries NOT INCLUDING the United States (the only industrialized country that has not ratified the treaty.)

CEDAW provides a globally agreed upon legal framework for the protection and promotion of basic human rights for women.

We The People Demand: Immediate ratification of CEDAW and the passage of adequate legislation ensuring the provisions of CEDAW are enforceable in state and federal courts.
