Demand Nugget's Murderer be Banned From Owning Another Pet

The tragic fate of Nugget the French bulldog may not prevent "Teen Mom" star Jenelle Evans and her husband David Eason from getting a new pet.

Eason is under investigation for brutally beating and shooting the pooch after it snapped at their 2-year-old daughter, Ensley.

But that probe would not stop them from adopting a new dog from the Columbus Humane Society in Whiteville, NC, where they live, TMZ reported.

The organization said animal control or law enforcement would have to provide documents showing why the couple's home would be dangerous to a pet, according to the website.

The society doesn't do background checks, TMZ reported.

Instead, the couple would have to fill out the same application everyone else does. That asks questions about other pets in the home, whether they ever returned a pet to a shelter and veterinarian contact info–but not, apparently, whether anyone in the house has ever killed a dog out of anger.
