Reducing and/or Subsidizing Parking Fees for All Students Attending Cascadia College

All students attending Cascadia College suffer paying $9 dollars a day for parking. For quarterly parking permit, it may cost to up to or over $200 even though you're not guaranteed a parking spot. Parking needs to made more available because most students can not afford to pay for parking three days a week which equates to $324 for a 12 week quarter. Speaking from the perspective of a student here at Cascadia College, the people in charge of pricing parking lack empathy. They do not understand that many students work part time if not full time to pay for tuition, books, fees and parking is just another unreasonable expense to pay for. We, the students, demand 2 simple things. For quarterly parking we want cheaper prices. We want $100 permits that are valid 7 days a week which is much more reasonable and still more expensive than surrounding community colleges. In addition, for students that cannot pay all that money at once, there will be installments so students can pay it off monthly with a downpayment of 50% up front. Finally, we want free parking weekends.
