edinburgh council wasting funds

Recycling is important but edinburgh council is about to deliver another full size refuse bin to house holds,this will make 6 in total. In scotland local councils dont sort recycl material they leave it to the householder .My neighbour for eg.will have 9 full size bins in her garden against her wall. This new bin is for recycling certain plastics not all types and other items . People are being forced to turn there homes into recycling depot,s and sift/sort all this packaging that we do not want with goods we purchase. My friend who works with the refuse department said half the time it does not get processed at the depot and goes straight to landfill .This is total waste of public funds Again.
