Tell Chief Justice Roberts: “Stop the Secret Rulings. The Court Must Explain Its Decisions, Dammit.”

In recent years, the Supreme Court has increasingly relied on its so-called "shadow docket" to make major decisions—often late at night, with little explanation, no full briefing, and no oral arguments.  It's a terrible practice, as it leaves the nation with no clue as to what drove the decision, and basically lets the Court do whatever the hell it wants, without any legal or Constitutional justification.  We're supposed to just "trust them."

And now we find out that Chief Justice John Roberts was the one who made this happen — going full activist on a series of decisions, without even the pretense of judging the case fairly, and doing it all without the any public justification.  What a dick.

These aren't minor procedural rulings. They've affected immigration policy, reproductive rights, environmental protections, and more—impacting millions of people without the transparency or accountability Americans expect from the highest court in the land.
