New Department of Health regulations could ultimately affect your ability to chose the health care provider of your preference. The EU (Basic Safety Standards for Protection against Dangers Arising from Medical Exposure to Ionising Radiation) Regulations 2018 are due to be signed into law by Health Minister Simon Harris on February 6th and unless amended, it will be illegal for your chiropractor to take or refer you for an X-ray.
Under the new regulations Chiropractors will instead have to refer you back to your already overburdened GP to get the X-ray referral meaning more delay and more expense for you, the patient.
Please sign the petition to keep the status quo as it has been for the last 25+ years and allow qualified Chiropractors take and refer for X-ray under the new regulations.

I would like to retract the last update. The meeting on the first was with individuals in the Department of Health. They listened to the CAI’s concerns and were to report back to the minister. The CAI welcomed the dialogue and is hopeful for a positive outcome. Please continue to share this petition and encourage others to sign it.

Thank you for support world wise and the comments are great - but this is a petition for the TD's In Ireland and we need support in Ireland to let the TD's and Minister Harris know that free choice is an issue - keep the status quo on chiropractors using and referring for x-ray.
