Make Influenza Vaccines Mandatory at SLU

Currently, Saint Louis University has the flu vaccine listed as "highly recommended" for all students. This recommendation is not enough to persuade students to get vaccinated, therefore it must be mandatory. Mandating this immunization would create a much safer environment for all of SLU's students, especially those living in close proximity in the dorms. The free flu shots offered at Saint Louis University's Student Health Center are an easy way to prevent the seasonal headaches, coughs, sore throats, and fevers. If the influenza vaccine was added to the other 12 already mandatory vaccines, the health standard at Saint Louis University would increase tremendously.
