Get Chris Brown's Monkey Business Settled!

Chris Brown is now facing criminal charges for owning an exotic monkey without a permit. He voluntarily surrendered the monkey, named Fiji, on February 6th of this year. Under California state law, it’s illegal to import, transport or possess the animals without an official permit from the Fish and Wildlife Department. Owning the monkey, which Brown named Fiji, can carry a maximum sentence of six months in jail.

Now, I'm sure Chris Brown has the means to care for this animal in the proper fashion, and hasn't shown otherwise. If anything, he shouldn't be facing jail time, he should be fined, and force him to apply and meet the requirements for the appropriate license from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife.
