Ban Fur Farming in the United States

More than 3 million farm raised Mink are killed annually in the United States alone for their pelts. It takes 36 to 65 Mink to make a single fur coat.Over 660,000 are currently being held on fur farms throughout the United States awaiting their deaths so someone can make a fashion statement.Animals raised for fur in the United States are not protected under the Federal Animal welfare act,or the Federal humane slaughter act.Mink are killed by the method of neck snapping and also by the use of carbon monoxide poisoning.Another victim of fur farming in the U.S. is Fox, which are electrocuted anally by placing a metal clamp on on it's snout and forcing a rod into the anus, and connecting it to a power source. We ,the undersigned petitioners, request United States Legislators to propose and adopt a bill, requiring a total ban on all fur farming in the United States inclusive with The Federal animal welfare act.The slaughter of innocent Mink,Fox,Bobcat, and other animals is a cruel and malicious, and unnecessary industry in the United States.
