Stop closing Miami-Dade boat ramps

Miami-Dade residents: As more and more people in Miami-Dade purchase boats, the Miami-Dade government has a responsibility to supply access to public boat ramps and increase parking. Instead, the opposite is being done. The Miami River boat ramp closed, the Coconut Grove Seminole boat ramp is scheduled to close, and the only remaining boat ramps are always full by mid-day with zero parking. The public has the right to ocean access and our taxpayer money should allow for the expansion of boat ramps, parking and security . Please sign this petition if you are in favor of keeping public boat ramps open and adding additional boat ramps in Miami-Dade County.
People living near boat ramps are frustrated with the noise, littering and other hazards but this can be corrected with proper city/county regulation. Closing down these boat ramps is blocking those who do not have enough money to afford public/private boat marinas and also punishing those who obey the rules. Please contact your government officials and let them know this is unfair.
