stop killing healthy animals in shelters

Healthy animals are euthanizing in animal hospitals because they are neglected, abused, or dropped of somewhere to die. Euthanasia is the practice of having a medically-assisted death. It is illegal in most countries. Euthanasia is a controversial subject, not only because there are many different moral dilemmas associated with it, but also in what constitutes its definition. At the extreme ends of disagreement, advocates say euthanasia, also known as physician aid in dying, is a merciful method of death. At the other end are opponents of euthanasia, who may consider this method as a form of murder. Euthanasia can be conducted in various ways. In order to distinguish certain methods, more specific terminology may be used when discussing euthanasia. Since World War II the debate over euthanasia in western countries has centered on voluntary euthanasia within regulated health care systems. In some cases judicial decisions, legislation, and regulations have made voluntary euthanasia an explicit option for patients and their guardians.

One way to stop euthanizing healthy animals in shelters is that all owners should spay and neuter their animals. Spay and neutering will help prevent healthy dogs in animal shelters and being euthanized. Animals that are spay and neutered will not likely have a risk to be killed or end up being homeless. Neutered dogs are less aggressive, leading to fewer fights and, consequently, lower risk of injury or contracting contagious diseases. A sterilized animal is less likely to wander and cross streets in order to procreate. The truth is that male dogs, especially those with a submissive personality, are usually better pets if they are neutered. They may have less desire to roam, to mark territory, and, if neutered before sexual maturity, they may be less likely to exert dominance over family members. Neutering a dog reduces production of testosterone but does not eliminate this hormone. Therefore a neutered dog, especially if he has a dominant character, may also retain his desire to roam and an assertive or even aggressive personality. Owners who depend on neutering to resolve behavior problems run a high risk of being disappointed unless they also train the pet to have good manners at home and in public.

Second ways to stop euthanizing healthy animals is that the owners should be notified and have their dogs microchiped and registered. Micro chipping will help the loss of dogs and registering the dogs will help prevent people a banding their animals. They way it should be is you first pay a small feed to register your animal to say you own that animal, and if you loose your animal or it runs away you must call the animal hospital about your pet and they will try to help look for it but if you don%u2019t find your pet in a certain amount of days you will pay a fine. Micro chipping was introduced for two main reasons. It enables a dog to be linked to its owner, so if it is stolen or lost, dog and owner can be reunited, and it can identify a dog which has been aggressive and classified as dangerous or menacing. This is especially important if a dog owner attempts to disguise the dog's identity.

Lastly one other way to help prevent healthy animals dying is that animal hospitals and shelters should give them a second chance to healthy dogs and put them to a facility where you train them to be given a second chance to the public which includes sight seeing dogs, air port dog, police dogs, and dogs to keep the elderly company.
