Canada, Step Up On Animal Protection!

Canada received a "D" on the animal protection index, which rates countries from "A" to "G". The animal protection legislation in Canada needs to be updated as it has not been changed in over 100 years.

The legislation currently accounts for animals as "property", which does not respect animals as living creatures. Additionally, the legislation allows for farm animals to be transported for up to 2 days without any food, water, or rest. This legislation desperately needs to be changed, as a developed nation like Canada should be a leader in animal protection.

Tell the Government of Canada to update legislation to protect animals!
