Transgender/non-binary rights in the school system

Lately, me and the other queer students at my school are being bullied and/or don't feel safe, we also feel a lack of trans rights in our school system. There are laws (or just guidelines) in some schools in Indiana where transgender/non-binary kids can't be called by their preferred pronouns/name either in general or without parent permission, and there are many conservative/transphobic parents who wouldn't allow their child to be called by their preferred name/pronouns, so what I want to do is make more trans-friendly laws in Indiana and spread awareness towards the LGBTQIA+ and decrease the transphobia in Indiana.
