Permanently shut down San Onofre and Diablo Canyon Nuclear Energy Generating Stations

We the undersigned demand that both the San Onofre and the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Energy Generating Stations be immediately PERMANENTLY shut down.  It is up to us to protect our future generations.  Nuclear Radiation, even in small doses, can have devastating effects on both people and the environment.  The only safe Nuclear Energy is NO NUCLEAR ENERGY.  We have the means and the know how to generate energy in a manner that will not kill us and THAT should be our focus.  Nuclear radiation is something that we can't see, that we can't feel and that we won't sometimes see the effects of for years.  Cancers, illness,  birth defects in our children- even in our great-grandchildren, are all things that we can expect from exposure.  Nuclear Radiation changes our very DNA and inexplicably alters our very existence.  It's something that we can't undo. NO amount of money, no number of jobs created, no inane convenience is worth this kind of risk.   We need to be proactive, rather than reactive.  Be strong. Stand up, make your voice heard.  For our children, and our grandchildren, and the entire human race for generations to come.
