The builder of College Park Subdivision has plans to build 44 townhomes in College Park. 1. Traffic is already a problem with the area's college across the street, and another Elementary School in the Subdivision. Wrecks already happen at the entrances of the Subdivision due to the congestion. Allowing 44 townhomes to be built in the Subdivision will make traffic unmanageable. 2. It is non-conforming construction to the Subdivision and will clearly, have an effect on property values. 3. Allowing 44 townhomes to be built in College Park Subdivision WILL increase crime rates. 4. College park residents moved to College Park to get away from this exact development and allowing this will change the environment of the Subdivision. The signers of this petition are requesting the Clute City Council block the approval and zoning to allow these townhomes to be built with a blanket denial of any multi-family housing in any section of College Park. The residents are asking that College Park streets do not connect to any Multi-family townhomes.
