Demand an end of Betta fish abuse in chain pet stores like Petsmart

Betta fish are kept in cups that are to small for them to live in, the reason it's bad for them to live in those little cups are because they have no filter(to clean out the water and make sure that the water levels stay somewhat clean), they're not cycled[the cycling process that lets the tank water be more safe and more stable(you need to cycle your tank)], there's no heater(to keep the water at the right temperature) and it's to small so they get lonely and fish can get depressed.
Also the employees dump food into to the tank(way more than they're supposed to) and food that is left over, turns into ammonia, which is very toxic and kill fish if the level is to high. When they do water changes at Petsmart, they usually just dump out the water then fill the whole cup up with new water. That is very bad because at most your supposed to do at most 50'/, change because if you do more its messes up the levels.
Also at petsmart, they tell the customers that you can buy a betta, put it into a non-cycled tank that's only one gallon and that they'll love and be very happy and healthy. Also they say that it's okay to dump a bit of food in the tank twice a day when your supposed to feed them around 6 pellets a day, and don't feed them one day every week.
The reason we should be concerned is because a bunch of bettas die every days around Petsmart's around the world.
What i want to happen is that Petsmarts in ottawa stop selling betta fish, and then once that happens, it might go further and then all of canada. If that happens, millions of bettas will live because they aren't jammed into those little 0.5 gallon cups.
