Save the deer, cattle and Konik horses in Oostvaardersplassen Netherlands

Deer, cattle and Konik horses are dying of starvation or being shot (too late) in a project/experiment of ecologists in cooperation with the Dutch Councils. This winter alone over 3.000 of them died horribly and painful as they had no food at all and no shelter for the cold (-20C). The land is barren and flat consisting of mud and dirty water. The animals cannot migrate and seach food elsewhere as there are gates locking them in this terrain. It is like a concentration camp for animals. Even the birds have gone away. People are trying to help by bringing hay but are held back by officials coordinating the project financed by the Dutch Government, who basically should fire this organisation. The situation is extremely sad, against animal rights and shameful for a so called developed country as NL. International assistance and support is urgently required.
