JUSTICE FOR TORTURED HORSE

  • af: Dr. K. Harwood
  • mottagare: Prosecuting atty., Sequoah Cty., Oklahoma--Reuben Houston case.
In Nov., 2011, Sherriff's deputies in Sequoah County, Oklahoma, arrested Reuben Houston, 26, pending animal cruelty charges.  He was released on bail.  Houston, angered because his horse repetedly escaped from a paddock, dragged the horse down a paved road, behind an ATV.  He then tied the horse to a tree.  A neighbor called the Sherriff's Dept. after finding the horse that was so hideously maimed, euthanasia was necessary.  We, the undersigned, ask that Houston be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and, if possible, be prevented from owning another animal.
