I need a job but have a record

It's ridiculous that people try to get employment after making a mistake but can't because they have to wait so long for expungments. Employers hire people before their criminal  record check comes back an then fire them. If I told you on the application I had a record don't waste my time if you don't want to except my past mistake. Crimes repeat themselves because companies an laws make it so hard for people to gain employment! The law to allow employers to do this needs changed and the expungment laws need changed! No one should have to wait a year after a mistake to find better employment.
