I have created this petition to stop panhandling and street begging in battle creek Michigan. This has become a viral epidemic in battle creek, these men and women are harassing motorists for money and making many people uncomfortable and
Taking attention away from safe driving.
These actions play on people's good nature.
And goodwill giving, while there are dozens of programs in battle creek designed to meet the needs of the homeless, the hungry, and the otherwise unfortunate.
The presence and actions of these panhandlers are not only a nuisance.
But a safety hazard, as they conduct their business on busy city streets, roadways and parking lots. This panhandling is also a l slap in the face to the thousands of battle creek residents than wake up and drive to work everyday to earn their paycheck and have to passby beggars that probably have more money in their. Checking account than they do, they hold signs and wear sand faces and I have witnessed some of these people use their own children as props to guilt people into giving money to them. I propose that the public act of panhandling, begging and otherwise soliciting free money from the good peop6of battle creek Michigan be outlawed
