We, the undersigned property owners adjacent to 123 S Peoria, oppose the zoning change (from DS-3 to DX-5) requested by ZSD Corp. The condo project proposed by ZSD Corp at this location is not within the best interest of this community, especially when compared to alternatives that exist within the property's current zoning. We respectfully ask that the Chicago City Council:
1) Prioritize the needs, desires and concerns of existing 27th Ward residents over a developer's desire to maximize his profit on a speculative condo development and reject the proposed zoning change.
2) Send a message to residents across Chicago that their voices matter, that this process isn't completely broken and that Aldermen must be accountable to their constituents with regard to zoning changes.
