Let's check for Leukaemia

Every year 400 children are diagnosed with leukaemia but before getting a diagnosis parents are sent home with some antibiotics when GPs think it is an infection and most of the time Parents leave the surgery without any help whatsoever. When a parent sees the GP because the child has been unwell with temperature and pains I strongly believe that the child should be sent for a blood test. So many parents including myself  had the experience of seeing doctors for a few months before being sent for a blood sample. One parent was told by a doctor at her local hospital that if she had waited for another week her son would have died.
