Label the “Ku-Klux-Klan” as a Domestic Terrorist Organization

The KKK was first formed in 1865 as a group to denounce and commit violent crimes against African-Americans and Northern Reformers. The group is founded on hate and violence. Countless attacks on places of worship, thousands of children, women, and innocent men burned/hung to display White Supremacy. This holds no place in today’s world, and the fact that they are not labeled as a terrorist organization is a testament in how little we have progressed as a nation in the last 200 years. My solution is for the United States to label the Ku-Klux-Klan as a domestic terrorist organization, and prosecute any member who does not comply with hate crime laws.
