Tightening U.S laws on Ivory

People should sign this petition to stop brutal killings that come with the hunt for ivory. The longer the hunt for ivory is alive the more the elephant species are endangered and at risk to becoming extinct. In the article Poaching in Park Kills Hundreds of Elephants a Year Cameroon’s government stated that there was 300 elephants left after poachers had reduced the number from 5,000 in five years.
To solve this issue I propose that the U.S bans Ivory from the country so that we are able to influence countries such as the Asian and African Countries to restrict ivory trade. With the ban of ivory from the U.S and the restrictions on Asia and Africa the number of killings would reduce, taking elephants off the endangered species list.
